As I was thinking back on the events of ten years ago, and the direction this country seems to have gone in I could really only think of only one thing to post here that wouldn’t be a long often repeated story, or even a rant:

“Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”

-Benjamin Franklin

The last ten years seems to be filled with far too much fear mongering, and loss of personal freedom of not only speech and action but thought. Not being politically correct does not mean that you don’t love your home, and your family any less than those that seem to bow down to the pressure to be so. Politically correct isn’t always whats morally correct, or even correct with one’s own conscience.

I very much support our military and am grateful for what they do to keep us safe as a nation, but it seems only logical, that if our government would keep our troops at home, and not stick their nose in so much on the world stage, something like the events of ten years ago today may not have happened to begin with.

Bring our troops home, bring our jobs back home, and protect our borders and maybe this country will have a fighting chance…
