I’m already finding some bugs as I am trying to make posts. For some strange reason, the blog wont let me post a video off of youtube even though I have tried several times, and used the same coding as I used to post the same video to my other blog. Kinda scratching my head here. If there be bugs, I will find them!

Are you choosing the “embed” code from youtube and putting in the “html’ area when posting? I was able to embed to code on my other bog here
I was trying to use the insert video, but it keeps just posting a link instead of inserting the video like it should. I will try it the way you suggested.
We are looking into “video uploading” But that takes up a ton of space and resources, so if it is an existing video – it is best right now to use the embed code and put in the post. I’ll ask around/look around to see what others using this system say.
Question… do you have your own URL and possibly have something installed there that makes your video work the way it does there?
On my main site I just use the insert video button, and put in the url of the video I want to put in the post. On my wordpress.com blog it will do the coding for embeding the video for you that way, but for some reason it only posts a hotlink to the video when I try to do it here. Going to youtube and using the embed code for the html did work like a charm though.
I have used wordpress.com and have my own self published blog. Emedding video from youtube isn’t “native” to wordpress platform. You need to have a special plug in for that. There are a lot of different ones out there. Some are more “techy” than others. I use one that is more techy, which I would not suggest for this site though.
